You've mastered your skincare regime, now it's time for your nails because they need pampering too!
Many of us are sporting dry tired winter hands due to a lack of moisture. During winter, the humidity in the outside air plunges. Inside, things are even drier, thanks to indoor heating. If you're washing your hands frequently to avoid catching a cold or the flu, you sap whatever natural oils are left in your skin.
Let indulge and take time to get back to nail care basics – cleanse, exfoliate and rejuvenate.
Enter the much needed at-home facial for your fingertips. With a focus on the health of the nail underneath the colour, PAX products both nourish and strengthen your nails, leaving fingertips in tip-top condition.
Ready for your nails to look their best yet? Here’s my step-by-step guide on how to complete an at-home facial for your fingertips:
Step 1: Remove your existing polish with PAX water based nail polish remover.
Step 2: Gently file your nails to shape, being careful to file in one direction, then buff the nails with a buffer.
Step 3: Apply PAX’ Cuticle Oil to your cuticles in a soft circular motion and place your hands in a bowl of warm water. Let them rest.
Step 4: Dry your hands. Emma recommends doing this with a warm mitt for extra indulgence. Now that the cuticles are soft, gently push them back using a cuticle stick.
Step 5: Next, apply a body scrub directly to the nails and gently scrub with a brush. Leave the scrub to work its magic by wrapping in a warm towel before rinsing.
Step 6: Massage hand cream into the palms and tops of your hands. Focus on your pressure points and work down your fingers.
Step 7: Now it’s time to apply your PAX base coat.
Step 8: Followed by your favorite PAX colour and completed with a layer of PAX high shine top coat.
Now sit back and check out your beautiful nails, rejuvenated, strong and shiny!
